ModiFace, the Toronto virtual makeover company that has developed patent-pending systems for simulating the effects of virtual hairstyles, anti-aging treatments, weight-loss, and most recently a wide variety of cosmetics products, today is announcing a breakthrough in the simulation of virtual eyelashes, mascara, and hair simulation technology.

The new patent-pending technology, BrightLash(TM) , draws individual hairs on a user-uploaded photo with a look, texture, and color that matches real hair.
This technology, in development for nearly 2 years in ModiFace Labs, allows for very fine control of virtual eyelashes or hair, including length, texture, color, volume, as well as several other parameters.
"Until now, simulating mascara on a user-uploaded photo consisted of displaying a pre-generated template on the photo.
Now, with our BrightLash technology, we can simulate individual lashes in a photo-realistic way by drawing each individual lash with a color, texture, shape, length and volume that is desired," observed Parham Aarabi, ModiFace's CEO who personally spearheaded the development of the BrightLash technology.
With this development, ModiFace can now simulate, in a photo-realistic way, the effects of lengthening, colorizing, and volumizing mascaras with a level of realism and detail that could not have been previously achieved.
ModiFace will launch the BrightLash technology on partnering websites in the coming months.
