A balding man is making good use
of his disappearing hair by selling advertising space to companies,
on his head.
Matt Stafford, who suffers from alopecia, is offering firms the
chance to have their logos temporarily tattooed on the side of his
balding pate for £215.
The 26-year-old is selling the bizarre advertising space on internet
auction site eBay.
The father-of-two from Shoreditch, London, has already sold his
first bald-patch ad space for £215 which he plans to donate to the
charity the Little Princess Trust.
The copywriter, who calls himself the 'Balding Billboard', promises
companies he will not wear hats for the week the advert is on his
head.
His ad reads: 'You are bidding for prime advertising space (6" x 9")
on the left side of a 26-year-old London man's head.
'Scalp is in mint condition. Your ad will be exposed to the public
at all times.
'The Balding Billboard guarantees to never wear hats, bandanas,
headscarves or other such head dressings.'
The American-born entrepreneur said: 'I was shaving my head and
realised I had a bald patch at the side.
'I went to the doctors and found out it was stress-related alopecia.
It made me think how I can turn a negative into a positive.
'I want to get it in people's faces and spread the message about the
Little Princess Trust.
'It was one of those things where if I can help someone else out
then I will.'
The cash raised will go to the Little Princess Trust, which provides
wigs to youngsters suffering from hair loss through cancer
treatment.
