One in four British men suffering from hair loss would favour a 'Robert Peston' hairstyle over that of Hollywood actor Daniel Craig, according to new research out today.
In a poll of 1,200 men, over a quarter admired the BBC journalist's mop compared to 20% who preferred the James Bond star's do, while George Clooney and Brad Pitt were a close third.
Men are realising that they don't have to look like Brad Pitt or George Clooney to be attractive and that a lot of women find brains sexier than brawn alone.
It explains why more and more of our male customers are requesting conservative hairstyles, like Robert Peston's, to portray an air of intellect.
The research shows that, as the recession continues to bite, men are seeking a more traditional and professional look.
They're not interested in looking like Hollywood hunks and would prefer instead to remain conservative for the sake of their careers.
It seems to suit them well in both their professional and private lives and characters like Robert Peston are the perfect inspiration.
The survey to find the top male celebrity hairstyles was conducted by Optima Hair Specialists, who create bespoke advanced hair replacement systems for both men and women suffering from hair loss.
Robert Peston was the favourite, beating even David Beckham and actor Clive Owen.
The award-winning journalist, who shot to fame after revealing that Northern Rock was on the brink of collapse, even made it into the top 10 of a recent poll to discover Britain's Sexiest Brains.

The desire for a conservative look was highlighted when those surveyed were asked whose follicles they least like.
Flamboyant celebrities such as Russell Brand, Jonathan Ross and Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen topped the list with 21%, 17% and 14% of the vote, respectively.
Other stars making the list include Donald Trump, Ray Quinn and Cristiano Ronaldo.
