Sisters chop off their hair to raise money
The cut hair was saved and will be sent to the Little Princess Trust
July 2010
Two sisters have taken part in a sponsored haircut to
raise funds for terminally-ill children.
Jessica and Pippa Hemingway, from Whiteley, raised £180 for Naomi House children's hospice by organising a sponsored haircut.
Jessica, 10, and Pippa, seven, from Suffolk Drive decided to raise money for Naomi House following a debate about charities at Whiteley Primary School.

Stylists Chloe and Nicky of Strands Hairdressing in Whiteley offered to cut the girls' hair free of charge.
The cut hair was saved and will be sent to the Little Princess Trust, an organisation that provides wigs to children suffering hair loss due to cancer treatment.
Hilary Jukes, the community fundraising co-ordinator for Naomi House children, said: 'Jess and Pip look great with their new short hairstyles.
'It is lovely for the girls to sacrifice their lovely long hair to help the children at Naomi House.
'Thanks to all their friends, family and teachers who generously sponsored them. We need to raise over £5 million every year to keep Naomi House and couldn't do that without the support of our local community.'
The hospices, in Sutton Scotney near Winchester provide care and support to life-limited children, young adults and their families.
