Boca Raton, FL, August 1, 2005—Dateline NBC aired Sunday, July 31, 2005, the conclusion of its 12-month independent examination of five popular treatments available to men with thin hair.

The story tracked the successes and failures of each man’s experience with an assigned treatment. The treatments used included: hair transplant surgery, Propecia, the combination of Propecia and Monoxidil, Viviscal and the HairMax LaserComb.

Dr. Paolo Romanelli, a professor with the University of Miami’s Dermatology Department, examined the volunteers at the start of the project, at six months and again after 1 year.
