Lion, University of Tokushima Analyze Hair Formation Mechanism: Ephrin Increases Hair Roots

Tokyo (JCNN) - Lion announced December 6 that it has elucidated a mechanism of Ephrin, a kind of hair growth promotion signals, in collaboration with the University of Tokushima.

According to their joint research on mice, Ephrin has a unique property to increase the number of hair roots in hair follicle formation.

Lion plans to conduct further research on male pattern alopecia in its efforts to develop advanced hair growth products.

Detailed results will be presented at the 27th Annual Meeting of the Molecular Biology Society of Japan to be held in Kobe from December 8 to 11.
